People of Tulum es una iniciativa independiente, sin fines de lucro y sin afiliación política. Nace de una idea sencilla: si elegimos Tulum, también elegimos hacernos responsables de él. Vivir aquí no basta. Al local le toca participar, cuidar al visitante y aportar al lugar que llama casa. Al visitante le toca entender dónde está, respetarlo y dejar algo mejor de lo que encontró. Queremos más viajeros y menos turistas. Más personas que sumen y menos que simplemente consuman.

Tulum tiene raíces mayas, es México y hoy es también un punto de encuentro entre personas y culturas de todo el mundo. Ahí está nuestra oportunidad. Si ponemos ese talento, conocimiento y capacidad colectiva al servicio del territorio, podemos hacer de Tulum el destino más sostenible de México y el mejor lugar para vivir. Pero eso no sucede solo. Se construye. Se cuida. Se exige.

People of Tulum existe para ayudar a construirlo. No somos una plataforma de marketing, popularidad o discurso. Somos una iniciativa de acción. Escuchamos, establecemos principios, generamos información y convertimos participación en proyectos concretos. No esperamos que alguien más construya el Tulum que queremos. Tomamos responsabilidad por él y empezamos a hacerlo.

People of Tulum is an independent, nonprofit, nonpartisan initiative built on a simple idea: if we choose Tulum, we also choose to take responsibility for it. Living here is not enough. Those who call Tulum home have a responsibility to participate, care for those who visit, and contribute to the place we live in. Those who visit have a responsibility to understand where they are, respect it, and leave something better behind. We want more travelers and fewer tourists. More people who contribute and fewer who simply consume.

Tulum has Mayan roots, it is Mexico, and today it is also a meeting point for people and cultures from around the world. That is our opportunity. If we put that talent, knowledge, and collective capacity at the service of this place, we can make Tulum Mexico's most sustainable destination and the best place to live. But that does not happen on its own. We build it. We protect it. We demand it.

People of Tulum exists to help build it. We are not a platform for marketing, popularity, or empty discourse. We are an initiative for action. We listen, establish principles, generate knowledge, and turn participation into concrete projects. We do not expect someone else to build the Tulum we want. We take responsibility for it, and we start building it ourselves.
